Derby College Group Plumbing and Electrical students have been recognized at an event – showcasing their hard work and commitment to their studies.
Roundhouse level one, two and three curriculum teachers named the top student and most improved student who received awards donated by local businesses CEF, Monument Tools and Willbond Plumbing Centres.
The winners were:
Top Level 1 Electrical Student – Ben McDermott and Most Improved Student – Ben Bestwick
Top Level 2 Electrical Student – Kieran Eaton and Most Improved Student – Adam Bryant
Top Level 3 Electrical Student – James Hall & Most Improved Student – Russell Hebdon
Top Level 1 Plumbing Student – Raven Ram & Most Improved Student – Kyle Leech
Level 2 Plumbing best student George Smith and most improved student – Owen Watts
Introduction to Building Services best student – Connor Bates and most improved student – Storm Hendy.
Andrew Lee, DCG Building Services Team Leader, said:
“The students have worked extremely hard this year under difficult circumstances and we wanted to celebrate their commitment.
“Many are returning for the next stage of their training in September and others are hoping to secure apprenticeships and jobs, so I hope this recognition sends a clear message to potential employers about the value of these young people.”
